The recently published first issue of Volume III of the Market and Competition Law Review explores some of the challenges posed by digitalization and technological progress in the European market.
In particular, this issue provides relevant insight on the articulation between competition and regulation in an ever-evolving digital market, with contributions by Max Huffman and Anna Piszcz. Moreover, the issue covers the at-vogue topic of the theory of dynamic competition in generative artificial intelligence, on which Friso Bostoen, Lola Montero Santos and Anouk van der Veer provide relevant insights. In another article, Beata Mäihäniemi explores the intersection of sustainability and digital platforms, which is an increasingly important and complex area of study. Finally, Agata Jurkowska-Gomulka and Artur Salbert analyse Regulation 2015/1589 regarding the possibility of “any interested party” to submit a claim in case of unlawful State aid.
The book reviewed in this issue, conducted by Alexander Burtscher, is Pablo Ibáñez Colomo’s “The New EU Competition Law.”
