Ursula Tscherter
Ursula Tscherter Minke whale enthusiast, whale researcher and environmental educator. Originally a teacher in art and craftwork, Ursula received her Masters of Research in Marine Mammal Science from the University of St Andrews in Scotland. For the past 2 years she as specialized in studying the biology and ecology of minke whales in Eastern Canada. Her dedication for cetacean research has repeatedly taken her far away from
her home in Switzerland to places such as Antarctica, Australia, South Africa, and New Zealand. As a freelance Ursula works as a boat driver, carpenter, lecturer, tour guide, and environmental educator. In order to share her passion for nature, wildlife and conservation she develops and produces teaching materials such as lifesized fabric images of animals. When and where possible Ursula enjoys hiking, diving, photography, wildlife observation, movies and pétanque.
