Is an artist, poet and academic scholar, who works with sculpture, aesthetics and literature. She has a PhD from the Fine Arts University of Porto, a Master’s degree from the Beaux-Arts de Paris and a postgraduate degree from Panthéon-Sorbonne. She is Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts of the University of Porto and has taught in Paris for almost a decade. She is the Chief-Editor of HUB — Journal of Research in Art, Design and Society. Filipa de Carvalho e Cruz has outlined five propositions that organize her research: Eros/Anteros; Ruin; Desire/Will; Intertextuality; Ingenuity/Fiction.
