Associate Professor of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa (UCP), in Lisbon, and President of CEPCEP – the Research Centre on Peoples and Cultures (CEPCEP) of UCP, Fernando Ilharco is PhD in Information Systems from the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE), London, and MBA by the Católica Lisbon School of Business and Economics (CLSBE) of UCP. He is Affiliate researcher at the Collaborative Laboratory DTX — Digital Transformation and senior researcher at Centre for the Study of Communication and Culture (CECC) of UCP. He has supervised well above one hundred master, doctoral and post-doctoral dissertations. Fernando Ilharco is author of ten books and about three tenths of peer-reviewed research works, individually and in co-authorship, published by academic publishers such as Oxford University Press, Wiley, Springer, Elsevier, Macmillan, De Gruyter, UCEditora, and Principia. His main areas of research are (i) communication, influence and leadership and (ii) the philosophy of communication, information and technology.
