Annette Bongardt has been a Senior Visiting Fellow in European Political Economy at the European Institute since 214. Before joining the LSE she was a Visiting Fellow at the Robert Schuman Centre for Advanced Research of the European University Institute, Florence, and a Senior Member and Academic Visitor at the European Studies Centre, St. Antonys College, Oxford University. She is a regular Visiting Professor at the National Institute for Public Administration, Lisbon (coordinator and professor of European Integration and Internationalisation) and Visiting Associate Professor at UFP, Porto. Previously, she also taught at the Universities of Aveiro (Associate Professor, Economics Department) and Católica (CEE/IEE) Lisbon, and the University of Victoria, BC, Canada. She is a member of the Research Center in Political Science (CICP). She holds a Ph.D. in Economics (199) from the European University Institute (EUI), Florence, Italy. Prior she had graduated from the Technische Universität Berlin (Betriebswirtschaftslehre). She received a German Academic Exchange (DAAD) scholarship for integrated foreign studies at the University of British Columbia, Vancouver, BC, Canada (MBA programme). Currently she is, among others, involved in an international research project on the European Semester led by A. Verdun from the University of Leiden (Jean Monnet EuroSem, which also includes the University of Victoria, B.C., Canada, the Hertie School of Governance, Berlin, the University of Pisa, and CLSBE Lisbon).
