Abstract

The book "O Pensamento Português sob o signo do Pensamento moderno: referências emblemáticas" is intended, on the one hand, to make it easier to access the occasional studies which, in recent years, have served as the basis for the author's participation in certain scientific events, and which have as a rule been published in dispersed form. Luís/Cardeal Saraiva, Sampaio Bruno, Leonardo Coimbra, Fernando Pessoa, Dalila L. Pereira da Costa, António Braz Teixeira and Arnaldo Pinho), and the degree of philosophicalhermeneutic consistency that the authors involved (Joel Serrão, Amorim de Carvalho, Ângelo Alves and Manuel Ferreira Patrício) in the interpretation of the thought of the aforementioned figures.
Portuguese Thought under the Sign of Modern Thought: Emblematic References both assumes that Friar Francisco de S. Luís/Cardinal Saraiva, Sampaio Bruno, Leonardo Coimbra, Fernando Pessoa, Dalila L. Pereira da Costa, António Braz Teixeira and Arnaldo de Pinho constitute, respectively, in the field of philosophical and theological conception, at the level of modern-contemporary Portuguese Thought, emblematic references par excellence of "modern Thought", and, in addition to considering that Dalila L. Pereira da Costa will constitute similarly emblematic references of "modern Thought". Pereira da Costa will constitute, similarly, at the level of modern-contemporary Portuguese Thought, in the field of the conception of mysticism and messianism, a reference par excellence emblematic of "traditional Thought", it subsumes that Joel Serrão, Amorim de Carvalho, Ângelo Alves and Manuel Ferreira Patrício will constitute, at the level of modern-contemporary Portuguese Thought, in what concerns philosophical-hermeneutic interpretation, unquestionable references.
