The Oporto School of Law of the Catholic University Law School awards dozens of students each year with a Master's degree in Law, in seven areas of specialization, as well as a Master's degree in Law and Management. In order to give visibility to the research results of the master's dissertations, the Law School has taken the decision to publish the master's dissertations that obtained the highest marks. Thus, from now on, the best master's dissertations, whose exams took place, will be published each year by December 8 of the previous calendar year. In addition, it will constitute a further incentive for the qualification of the research of Master's degree students in Law and in Law and Management. It is our conviction that this initiative will contribute to a fruitful sharing of knowledge and that it will open a way for dialogue with the legal community and civil society.
The inaugural issue includes nineteen dissertations, for the year ending December 8, 2018, eighteen of them in Portuguese and one in English. They are presented in alphabetical order and cover areas as diverse as criminal law, private law, business law, administrative law, labor law, international and European law, and tax law.
